Community Guidelines

Effective February 21, 2026 · Version 2.0

YaraCircle is a social platform built on meaningful connection, safety, and respect. We offer Stranger Chat, Whispers, Daily Pulse, Sparks, Groups, voice and video Calls, and Yara AI -- each designed to help you connect authentically. These Community Guidelines ("Guidelines") establish the rules every user must follow. By creating an account or using YaraCircle as a guest, you agree to abide by these Guidelines, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy.

YaraCircle is operated by Sitocrats and is governed by the laws of the Republic of India, including the Information Technology Act 2000, IT Intermediary Guidelines 2021, POCSO Act 2012, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

Welcome to YaraCircle

YaraCircle is a social chat platform where you can meet strangers, share anonymous thoughts, build friendships, join communities, and chat with Yara -- our AI companion. We believe connection should be safe, genuine, and open to everyone. These Guidelines exist not to restrict you, but to ensure every person on YaraCircle feels respected and protected.

Treat everyone with dignity and respect
Protect your privacy and respect others'
No harassment, hate, exploitation, or illegal content
Report violations to keep the community safe
13+ platform with age-gated features for safety
Anonymity is a privilege, not a shield for abuse

Section B: Age Requirements & Content Ratings

YaraCircle uses a tiered age model to ensure younger users are protected while giving adults full access. We comply with COPPA (US) and POCSO Act 2012 (India) child protection requirements. Users under 13 are completely blocked from the platform.

Under 13: Completely Blocked

Children under the age of 13 cannot create an account, use guest mode, or access any feature of YaraCircle. This restriction is in compliance with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and the POCSO Act 2012 (India). If we discover a user is under 13, their account will be immediately terminated and all data deleted.

Content Maturity Ratings

Whispers and certain other content on YaraCircle are classified by maturity level. These ratings control both who can post and who can view the content.

EVERYONE

Suitable for all ages. Visible to all users aged 13 and older. This is the default content level.

TEEN

Suitable for ages 16 and older. May contain more mature themes. Not visible to users aged 13-15.

MATURE

Adults only (18+). Content appears blurred with an overlay and must be tapped to reveal. Not visible to anyone under 18.

Parental Responsibility (Users Aged 13-17)

While YaraCircle implements technical age-gating to protect younger users, parents and guardians share responsibility for their children's online experience. We encourage parents to discuss online safety, review privacy settings, and maintain open communication about their child's interactions on the platform. Users aged 13-17 do not have access to Stranger Chat, guest mode, or MATURE content. Misrepresenting age to access restricted features is a violation of these Guidelines and will result in account termination.

Section C: Feature-Specific Rules

Each feature on YaraCircle has its own context, audience, and expectations. In addition to the general rules in these Guidelines, the following feature-specific rules apply. Pay attention to the age badges -- they indicate who can access each feature.

Anonymous 1-on-1 text chat with random strangers, matched by shared interests. Stranger Chat is restricted to users aged 18 and older (including guests). Audio calls are available; video calls are not permitted in stranger sessions.

  • aYou must be at least 18 years old to access Stranger Chat. Both registered users and guests must confirm their age before entering.
  • bBefore your first session, you must accept the Guidelines Agreement by checking two required boxes: (1) confirming you are 18 or older, and (2) agreeing to the Community Guidelines, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy.
  • cDo not share personal identifying information (full name, address, phone number, workplace, school) until you have established genuine trust over time.
  • dDo not solicit or offer sexual services, "hookups," or any transactional arrangements.
  • eDo not request or send nude, semi-nude, or sexually suggestive images or videos.
  • fDo not pressure the other person to move the conversation off-platform to unmoderated channels.
  • gDo not use Stranger Chat to recruit for cults, MLMs, extremist groups, or any organized scheme.
  • hAudio-only calls are permitted in stranger sessions. Video calls with strangers are blocked for safety.
  • iIf someone makes you uncomfortable, use the "Skip" or "Block" button immediately. You are never obligated to continue a conversation. Blocking is permanent and prevents future matching.
  • jIf you suspect the other person is underage, end the conversation and report them immediately using one of the available report categories: Inappropriate content, Harassment/bullying, Spam/scam, Hate speech, Impersonation, Underage user, or Other.
  • kAutomated scripts, bots, or chat-flooding tools are prohibited.
  • lWhen no human match is available, you may be matched with Yara AI. The same rules of respectful behavior apply.

Section D: Prohibited Content

The following content is prohibited on all parts of YaraCircle, including text messages, images, videos, audio, profile information, group names/descriptions, Whispers, Spark responses, Daily Pulse answers, and any other user-generated content. This list is not exhaustive; YaraCircle reserves the right to remove any content that violates the spirit of these Guidelines.

Zero-Tolerance (instant permanent ban + law enforcement)Severe (suspension or permanent ban)Moderate (warning, removal, or suspension)

Section E: Enforcement & Consequences

YaraCircle uses a points-based warning system to ensure enforcement is proportional, transparent, and fair. Points are assigned based on the severity of each violation. Points expire after 90 days, giving users a genuine opportunity to improve their behavior.

How Our Moderation Works

1. Pre-publish (automatic): Before content goes live, our systems check for personal information (phone numbers, emails, social media handles) and critical blocklisted terms (CSAM keywords, violence threats, racial slurs). Blocked content is never published.

2. Post-publish (automatic): Published content is asynchronously reviewed by AI moderation systems for policy violations.

3. Report handling (dual-layer AI + human review): User reports are processed by dual-layer AI analysis. No report is ever automatically dismissed -- every report receives review.

4. Warning types: Warnings can be issued manually by administrators, automatically from user reports (auto_reports), or automatically from block patterns (auto_blocks).

Points Summary at a Glance

Minor = 1 pt
Moderate = 2 pts
Severe = 3 pts
5 pts = 24h ban
10 pts = Permanent

All points expire 90 days after they are issued. Users must acknowledge all warnings before continuing to use the platform.

Appeal Process

If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, you have the right to appeal:

  • Email support@yaracircle.com with the subject line "Appeal - [Your Username]". Include the enforcement notification, your account details, and a clear explanation of why you believe the decision was incorrect.
  • Appeals are reviewed by a member of the Trust & Safety team who was not involved in the original decision.
  • You will receive a response within 7 business days.
  • Non-appealable: Zero-tolerance violations (CSAM, terrorism, sex trafficking) and actions taken pursuant to a legal order or law enforcement request cannot be appealed through this process. Affected users may seek recourse through applicable legal channels.

Anonymity & Deanonymization

Anonymity on YaraCircle (Stranger Chat, Whispers, anonymous mode) is a privilege, not a shield. YaraCircle logs IP addresses, device identifiers, and session metadata for all users. We may deanonymize a user -- linking anonymous activity to an account or identifying information -- when required by a valid court order or law enforcement request, or when necessary to investigate severe or zero-tolerance violations. Do not use YaraCircle with the expectation that your identity can never be discovered.

Section F: Reporting

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these Guidelines, we urge you to report it. Reports are essential to maintaining a safe community. All reports are treated confidentially; the reported user will not be informed of the reporter's identity.

How to Report

1.In-App Report Button: Available in every chat, on every Whisper, on user profiles, in groups, and on call screens. Tap/click the flag or three-dot menu and select "Report." Choose the category that best describes the violation and add optional details.
2.Block & Report: When blocking a user, you will be prompted with an option to also submit a report. We recommend using this feature to both protect yourself and help the community.
3.Email: For complex situations or to submit evidence, email safety@yaracircle.com. Include your username, the reported user's username (if known), a description of the violation, and any relevant screenshots or evidence.

Report Categories by Feature

What Happens After You Report

1Acknowledgment: You receive confirmation that your report has been received.
2AI Review: The report is processed through dual-layer AI moderation. No report is ever automatically dismissed.
3Decision: A decision is made based on the severity of the violation. Urgent reports (CSAM, imminent violence) are prioritized and escalated immediately.
4Action: Appropriate action is taken per the Enforcement system: content removal, warning points, suspension, or permanent ban.
5Notification: You will be notified of the outcome where possible, without revealing enforcement details that could compromise the process.

False Reports: Submitting deliberately false or frivolous reports to harass another user or manipulate the moderation system is itself a violation of these Guidelines and may result in enforcement action against the reporter, including warning points on your account.

Yara AI & Crisis Detection

Yara AI is not a therapist, counselor, or crisis responder. However, Yara includes a crisis detection system. If Yara detects signs of self-harm or suicidal ideation in your messages, it will provide helpline information and encourage you to seek professional support. This is not a substitute for professional help. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact the services listed above or your local emergency number.

Safety Tips for Online Interactions

1Never share your real name, address, phone number, school, or workplace with strangers on the platform.
2Do not agree to meet in person with anyone you have only interacted with on YaraCircle.
3If someone makes you uncomfortable, use the Block button immediately. You do not owe anyone a conversation.
4Report suspicious or harmful behavior. Every report is reviewed by both AI and human moderators, and your identity is kept confidential.
5Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, end the conversation and report it.
6Keep conversations on-platform. Moving to unmoderated channels removes the safety protections we provide.
7Be skeptical of anyone who quickly asks for money, gifts, cryptocurrency, or personal information.
8Review your profile to ensure it does not inadvertently expose personal information.
9Parents and guardians: if your child (aged 13-17) uses YaraCircle, discuss online safety with them and review their privacy settings together.
10Remember: you can always skip to the next person in Stranger Chat. There is no obligation to stay.

Section H: Your Responsibilities

As a member of the YaraCircle community, you have a responsibility to help keep the platform safe and welcoming. Here is what we expect from you:

Account Security

Keep your login credentials secure. Do not share your password or allow others to access your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately and contact support@yaracircle.com.

Truthful Age Representation

You must provide your true date of birth when registering. Misrepresenting your age to access age-restricted features (Stranger Chat, MATURE content, guest mode) is a serious violation that will result in immediate account termination. If you are a parent or guardian, do not create accounts using false ages for your children.

Respecting Other Users

Treat everyone on YaraCircle with dignity. Remember that there is a real person on the other side of every conversation -- even in anonymous mode. Engage in good faith, respect boundaries, and use the block and report tools when needed rather than retaliating.

Complying with Local Laws

You are responsible for ensuring your use of YaraCircle complies with the laws of your jurisdiction. Content that is legal in one country may be illegal in another. Where local law imposes a higher standard than these Guidelines, local law prevails. YaraCircle is governed by the laws of the Republic of India.

Section I: Grievance Officer

In compliance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 (India), YaraCircle has appointed a Grievance Officer to address user complaints and concerns.

Grievance Officer

Name: Grievance Officer, Sitocrats (YaraCircle)
Email: grievance@yaracircle.com
Response Time: Acknowledgment within 24 hours; resolution within 15 days of receipt as mandated by Rule 3(2) of the IT Intermediary Guidelines 2021.

Scope: The Grievance Officer handles complaints related to content moderation decisions, account actions, privacy concerns, and any other grievances arising from the use of YaraCircle.

Process: Submit a written complaint to grievance@yaracircle.com with your username, a description of the issue, the date of the incident, and any supporting documentation. The Grievance Officer will acknowledge receipt within 24 hours and provide a resolution or status update within 15 days.

Escalation: If you are not satisfied with the resolution provided by the Grievance Officer, you may escalate your complaint to the appropriate regulatory authority or seek judicial remedy under applicable law.

Section J: Updates & Contact

How We Update These Guidelines

We reserve the right to update these Guidelines at any time to reflect changes in the platform, law, or community needs. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification and email. Continued use of YaraCircle after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Guidelines. We encourage you to review these Guidelines periodically.
