YaraCircle didn't start in a boardroom with market research. It started with a simple observation: the internet, which promised to connect us, has somehow made us lonelier.

The Loneliness Epidemic

Studies show that loneliness is at epidemic levels. Despite having hundreds of "friends" on Facebook and thousands of followers on Instagram, people report feeling more isolated than ever.

We asked ourselves: Why?

The answer became clear. Current social media doesn't help you make new connections—it helps you maintain (and often perform for) existing ones. If you didn't bring a social circle to the platform, you won't build one there.

The Personal Stories

As we talked to people, stories emerged:

"I moved to a new city and have 500 Instagram followers, but I can't find anyone to grab coffee with."

"My friends from college are scattered across the world. Making new local friends feels impossible."

"I want to meet people who share my niche interests, but there's no good way to find them."
